In my last blog post, I explained the importance of cultivating burning desires for achieving our goals. If you missed the last video, view it here:
Cultivating Burning Desires (Part 1)
So how do we actually cultivate desire? Well it’s done using 5 steps, and is revealed in the short video below!
[flowplayer src='http://justinesimard.com/wp-content/uploads/5-steps-cultivating-desire.mp4' width=400 height=300 splash='http://justinesimard.com/wp-content/uploads/Cultivating-Desires-5Steps-Splash-Image.png']
After identifying your most meaningful desires and setting your goals to achieve them, make sure to apply those 5 steps and get the most out of your mindset and environment to achieve them!
Have you applied these strategies for cultivating desire?
Do you believe that taking action, controlling your environment and applying auto-suggestion intensifies your desires?
Are your desires burning yet?
Don’t forget to write a comment below, I’d love to hear from you!

Hi Justine,
thanks for sharing this amazing video. Your authentic excitement is motivating in itself.
An important part of burning desire is faith, that means knowing that it our desire is real and the realization will take place. Only with faith we’re going to take action, and our actions will be much more confident if we have faith.
I apply all kinds of visualization techniques: collages, short videos, meditation, auto suggestion…
Whatever we do in this area, we need to charge our messages to our subconscious mind with positive emotions.
Thanks again for sharing.
Take care
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
It’s always great to hear from you! You bring up something really important here – desire must be paired with faith! And I think that if we follow the 5 steps for cultivating desire, we also cultivate faith. By taking consistent and meaninful actions, we bring ourselves closer to realisation, no matter how small the steps are. And the closer we get, the more intense the desire, and the more solid the faith.
When we DECIDE that something will happen, and take INSPIRED ACTION in that direction, it WILL HAPPEN!
Thanks so much for your comment, and for sharing your own inspiration and wisdom!

Hey Justine,
Love your back ground… Also, great post. It’s all about mindset, vision, and focus. I like the fact that you said to pick one of your desires, visualize that desire, focus on that desire, and then, this is the one that most people miss, taking action. I’m glad I stopped by today.

These are some great ideas, Justine! I like the idea of positive reinforcement in order to meet our goals. I also like the way that you seem to have put them in a chronological order. After all, you have to decide what you want before you take action.

Hi Steve,
It is so interesting that you pointed out the chronological order – indeed there are so many people who start to pursue something before they even get clear on their goals or before they make a solid commitment to achieving them! It’s hard to take action without direction!
Thanks so much for your comment!

Fabulous video, Justine! I think the # 1 thing people forget to do is to take consistent and persistant action to realize their goal. Commitment is also key because if you have a half-hearted commitment to yourself, any little challenge or obstacle that comes in the way, will throw you off your game. Once you commit to yourself that “No matter what” you will succeed, then nothing can or will derail you. Thanks for this great list to cultivating desire–I love it!

Thanks so much for your comment Joanie!
This is so true, when we commit to success, but also acknowledge that there will be obstacles and challenges to overcome, then we can get the right mindset and develop the right skillset to never go back or get off track!
Thanks again!

Great post!
So many people over look the critical skill and ability to stay motivated and focused while overcoming challenges/struggles during their journey to success.
When people feel discouraged and defeated, they don’t realize they are in just a negative state. Truly successful people have persistence working for them and maintain it by keeping their eye on their goals.
Having great techniques to use to keep yourself focused on the goal is essential for success.
Thanks for the post on a critical topic.
