Online marketing, for most home business newbies, is a new challenge. It asks for learning new knowledge, acquiring new skills, maintaining consistency, growing confidence, and building effective
strategies. For some, it may even require building a strong personal brand and targeted expertise. Each new marketing strategy presents itself with its own learning curve. As you tackle each strategy simultaneously, you’re moving slowly, climbing each curve, spreading yourself thin across the bottom of each. Jack of all trades. Master of none. You know it, so what are you doing using 10 different marketing strategies ineffectively?
Some people start an online business without ever learning how to market online. They pay others to do this for them, purchase leads or outsource the marketing process for their own campaigns. But if you have embraced learning how to personally market your business online, read on, because I’m about to tell you something that could save you years in getting good at what you do and getting real results.
How many online marketing strategies are you using? Social media and networking, article marketing, product launches, personal branding, Pay Per Click, Pay Per View, video marketing, joint ventures, free ads, banner ads, forums, webinars, Ezine, email marketing, etc… How many do you master? How many are you getting effective results from?
In marketing your business, you will be using short-term and long-term strategies. For example, Pay Per Click can generate leads for your business opportunity or products immediately, and growing your personal brand using social networks is a long-term process. If you are a serious network marketer and have long-term plans for growing into an industry leader and generating serious residual income, you most likely need both types of strategies. You need leads now to make money now, and you need to build your brand, your expertise and your lists, so that you can easily generate thousand of sales from your existing followers, leads and customers in the future.
So you need to GET GOOD AT WHAT YOU DO! And you simply cannot do this spreading yourself thin across too many online marketing strategies. So here is how you do this:
- Focus on only 2 or 3 targeted strategies, until you master them and obtain effective results.
- Spend most of your time on the strategies that are generating results, and the remainder on gradually learning new strategies. You need some results NOW
- Apply a good balance between short-term and long-term strategies, so that, again, you can generate strong results now, but also align powerful results and leverage for the future.
- Eliminate the short-term strategies that are not working for you!
- Use a combination of free and paid online marketing strategies, to respect your budget and resources.
- Outsource the tasks that don’t require your level of skill! This will give you more time to apply your expertise and learn new strategies.
- If you do not want to become a marketer and learn the skills, grow the capital required to hire an expert marketer to do the work for you. Buying leads is a good short-term solution, but for long-term network marketing success and personal branding, you need someone to market YOU.
It’s time to review your online marketing strategies portfolio and tidy up! It’s time to focus on expertise and mastery. It’s time to get results, and line-up even greater results for the future! It’s time to apply leverage! It’s time to stop wasting time fluffing around at the bottom of all your learning curves! Tackle a couple, get good – no, get GREAT – become a master and a leader, duplicate and leverage, outsource the things you don’t want to do, and focus on the things you are passionate about and great at!
